• The international students have to bring along with them the Admission Notice, the JW202 Form (or the JW 202 Form for international students granted with scholarship by the Chinese Government) and the Health Certificate (original) and come to the campus to register according to fixed time. Those who do not come on time have to explain the reason and to complete formalities for asking leave of absence after the event. The students who have not registered until one month after the commencement of the semester will be immediately disqualified from the enrollment.
• Upon arrival, the new students should take the X visa (i.e. the student visa) to go through admission formalities.
• Upon their arrival, the international students should hand in Admission Notice, the JW 201 form or the JW 202 form and the Health Certificate for check in.
• If the health certificate handed in by the international student is tested and verified as abnormal by the Tianjin Sanitation and Quarantine Station, physical examination must be carried out again, and the expenses are to be borne by the student himself/herself.
• The international students majoring in Chinese Language will be interviewed by the Chinese teachers, and take part in the Chinese Language Proficiency Test for placement at the fixed time.
• The students who apply to stay in the International Students' Dormitory have to sign a contract and then be assigned a room to live in.
• The international students who take their meals in the International Students Dining Hall with cash payment (Chinese Money).
• The students granted with scholarship may get their month allowance with Credit Card which offered by the University.
• The self-financing students have to pay the fees in Renminbi(RMB, Chinese Money) in full during registration. If they have special reasons for not being able to pay the fees on time, they have to explain the reasons.
• At the beginning of each semester, the students have to return to the university no later than the fixed time. They have to check in at the Offices of the school of International Education and the offices of their respective Schools, and go through the registration formalities. If they fail to return on time without asking for permission in advance, they will be punished for absence without asking for leave. If they delay the registration for more than two weeks, they will be considered as leaving the university automatically

• All new international students with X visa(student visa)should go to the Public Security of Tianjin to apply for Residence Permit along with their valid passports, the Health Certificates and the university letter of introduction within 30 days after arrival in China. Anyone who does not conduct the procedures by the deadline will receive fair dealings according to the regulations concerned.
• If any of the international students who goes back home for sick leave or other purpose, or pays visits to the regions of Hong Kong and Macao or other countries during one's study period should put forward their written request for leave (of absence)and after the university's approval, they can go through their entry and exit procedures.
• International students conducting visas, residence permit should pay their service charge in accordance with the relevant regulations.
• In case of any changes or extension of visa and the residence permit, the holder should, with the university's approval, apply for such changes or extension to the public security bureau within one week; otherwise, he/she will be punished in accordance with the relevant regulations.
• Please take good care of the visas and other certificates and do not alter or damage them. If anyone loses the passports, he/she should report the loss to the Advertisement Department of Tianjin Daily, and pay the advertisement charge by himself/herself, then he/she should go to the Public Security Bureau for reapplication procedures. The charges are to be borne by the student himself/herself.

1. Firstly, students should go to of Tianjin with the university letter of Introduction and related documents for verification. (Verification charge: RMB 30 yuan )

Secondly, international students should go to Tianjin Sanitation and Quarantine Station with the verification letter issued by the Public Security Bureau of Tianjin to recheck the Health Certificate. For International students who receiving full scholarship of Chinese Government(hereinafter referred to as “scholarship students”), their living expenses are provide during their studying at TianjinUniversity.

• Living expenses are granted once a month after scholarship students arrived at TianjinUniversity. If new scholarship students arrived at TianjinUniversity before the day of 15th of the month, they will receive living expenses of a month; otherwise, they will receive half living expenses of a month.
• When scholarship students are supposed graduate from the university, their living expenses will be stops after half a month of the day of graduation.
• Living expenses are granted as usual during normal holidays. However, those who fail to return to the university on time without permission, non-health reasons leaving and absence of courses over a month , their living expenses of that month will be suspended.
• Scholarship students who suspend their schooling, leave school, the scholarship granted will also be suspended in the period.
• According to regulations of China Scholarship Council, the living expense standards for different scholarship students are as follows:
• Undergraduates: RMB 800 yuan each person per month.
• Master Degree Student and General Scholar: RMB 1,100 yuan each person per month.
• Doctoral Degree Student and Senior Scholar: RMB 1,400 yuan each person per month.
• Scholarship students receive their living expenses for next month on 25 every month. New scholarship students receive cash as their living expenses in the first month and collecting their living expenses from the second month at China Construction Bank with a bank card obtained from Section of International Students Administration. Scholarship students whose studying period over one year will receive one-off allocation fee RMB 300.

1. There are two on-campus international student dormitories: Youyuan international student dormitory and Liuyuan international student dormitory, single rooms in Youyuan and double rooms in Liuyuan are provided for international students.

2. Upon arrival, international students can directly apply for rooms on the reception desk, fill in the accommodation registration form; get the room key and hand over RMB10 for key’s deposit.

There are 80 kilowatt-hour electricity costs offered by the university for Chinese government scholarship students each month, anyone of Chinese government scholarship students exceed limit of electricity, the extra electricity costs will be covered by him or herself. Self–supporting international students should be financed the electricity costs in Youyuan or Liuyuan international student dormitory international student dormitory, it is necessary to pay for 200 kilowatt-hour electricity costs when he/she live in a room for the first time, at present, it is RMB 0.55 for a kilowatt-hour.

3. The telephones in the rooms are 201 card telephones, international students can purchase telephone cards while use them.

4. The rooms in Youyuan international student dormitory, B and D Area of Liuyuan international student dormitory are equipped electric water heaters and can supply 24 hours hot water.

5. The laundries are equipped in Youyuan and Liuyuan international students dormitories, international students should purchase the cards form the service department to use them.

6. The dining hall for international students is in the first floor of Liuyuan International Dormitory, the dining time is:

7. There are various facilities such as StudentsActivitiesCenter, SportingCenter, post office, banks, book stores, department stores and restaurants on campus can meet students’ different needs and make life of students very convenient.

8. International students should improve the awareness of safety. Doors and windows should be locked up and the power switches should be shut off while leaving the rooms. Cash, certificates and other valuable belongings should be properly kept.

Regulations and rules on safe use of electricity and fire prevention must be strictly observed. High power electrical appliances such as electric cooker, electric blanket, microwave oven etc. are not allowed to be used in the dormitories and it is strictly prohibited to light candles, burn waste or store flammable and explosive materials in the rooms. Those who have caused a fire because of wrong usage of electrical appliances or other wrong doings should be bearing the losses of the properties and will be punished according to the regulations of the university or even laws related.

• International students are not allowed to burn any articles in the dormitory. Please stub out the cigarette after smoking It is forbidden to set off fireworks in the dormitory.
• The students are not allowed to change the original system of power supply without permission.
• Electrical cooking utensils are strictly prohibited in the dormitory. Please turn offlights when leaving.
• The safety devices in the students rooms must be the type appointed by the campus electrician team; if there is a breakdown, please report to the person on duty for repairing in time.
• The students leaving a long time for field work, travel of for other reasons should cut off the electricity supply of their rooms.
• Please do not move the fire equipment and fire extinguishers without permission.
• If any of the students disregard the relevant regulations which lead to fires, those who are responsible by the juridical department

• International students who are ill should bring their I.D. Cards along with them to see the doctors in the university clinic.
• The scholarship students seeing the doctors in the university clinic should pay their fees for registration and visiting house calls. The bills for medical expenses can be changed back with money at the International Students Office. If hospitalized, the students themselves have to take care of the meals.
• If it is necessary to see a doctor out of campus, the students should go to the designated hospital according to the certificate of the university clinic, and submit their bills to the Office for money. The students themselves have to cover their traffic expenses.
• The scholarship students are responsible for their expenses of cleaning teeth, artificial teeth’ eyeglasses, induced abortion, tonics, etc.
• The students are advised to see the doctors at the outpatient department during the consulting hours. Special emergency cases seeing doctors out of the campus should be examined by the university clinic first and ambulances should be examined by the university clinic first and ambulances should also be called by them.
• The self-financing students are responsible for their own medical expenses.

Article 1
In order to strengthen the university discipline, establish a regular teaching order and guarantee students a good environment to study and live in, the following regulations are laid down in accordance with relevant rules in Administrative methods of Colleges and Universities Students worked out by State Education Commission.

Article 2
International Students at university who breach the university discipline and should be punished will be given a warning, a serious warning or a demerit recording, be placed on probation, asked to withdraw ( from the university ) or be expelled from the university.

According to the students conduct during the probation period, the disciplinary action may be rescinded at or before the expire. If they fail to improve their conduct or breach discipline again, the students will be placed on prolonged probation, be asked to withdraw or be expelled from the university.

Article 3
Students who seriously disturb the regular teaching order or social public order will be asked to withdraw or be expelled from the university.

Article 4
Students who violate the laws, decrees or regulations formulated by Chinese government and are punished by judicial offices:

• Students placed under surveillance, held in custody or sentenced to imprisonment or reeducation through labor will be expelled from the university.
• Students released from detention for questioning will be placed on probation, asked to withdraw or expelled from the university according to the serilousness of his case.
• Violating regulations on the administration of public security:
• Students detained as the result if endangering public security will be given a demerit recording, placed on probation or asked to withdraw from the university according to the seriousness of his case.
• Students who are given a warning or fined by judicial office will be given a warning, a serious warning or a demerit recording.

Article 5
Students stealing or swindling public, collective or private property will be given a warning, a serious warning or a demerit recording or be placed on probation according to the serilousness of his case if the amount of offence is less than 200 yuan.. If the amount of offence is 200 yuan or above, the offenders will be asked to withdraw or expelled from the university. Those who repeatedly commit offences, using mean tricks, being repeatedly punished and refusing to amend will be asked to withdraw or expelled from the university according to the seriousness of his case, though the total amount of offence is less than 200 yuan.

Article 6
The following punishments as well as some fines are imposed to students who intentionally damage public property or harm others’ interests according to the value of the damaged:

• If the value is less than 50 yuan, the student will be given a warning or a serious warning.
• If the value is between 50 yuan ( including 50 yuan ) and 80 yuan , the student will be given a demerit recording.
• If the value is above 800 yuan, the student will be placed on probation.
• Those who repeatedly and willfully damage public property and whose offences have serious effects will be asked to withdraw or expelled from the university.

Article 7
According to responsibilities and extents of losses, students violating regulations on fire control an causing fire disaster will be given the following punishment:

• If the loss is severe, the student will be given a warning or a serious warning.
• If the loss is severe, the student will be given a demerit recording, placed on probation or asked to withdraw from the university.
• Students proved to have committed arson and caused severe loss will be expelled from the university.

Article 8
According to the seriousness of his case, students creating disturbances on and off campus, taking part in plotting fight, gang-fight or intentionally providing false witness or weapons will be given the following punishments：

Students who do not observe public order, nor take dissuasion, or provoke others with words, offend others in some way to create disturbances or fights will:

• Be given a warning if they do not raise a hand but arise the fight;
• Be given a serious warning if they raise a hand in the fight but do not injure others;
• Be given a demerit recording or be placed on probation if they doothers slight injuries;
• Be asked to withdraw or expelled they do others severe injuries and the adverse effects are severe.

• The students who are going to leave the university ( including transferring to another university, suspension of studies, withdrawal and graduation ) should go through the follwing formalities
• Settle all the outstanding accounts.
• Return the furniture and beddings in the dormitory.
• Return books and library cards.
• Return students I.D. Cards and other relevant certificates.
• After graduation ( completing the courses) the international students should leave the university within two weeks after the conclusion of the term. If they are not leaving on time, they will no more enjoy the treatment for international students.
• The students transferring to other universities should leave by the end of August. If not, they have to pay all the expenses by themselves. The university will no longer provide lodging for them.
• The university will provide the scholarship students transferring to other cities with hard-seat or hard-sleeper train tickets from Tianjin to the relevant cities together with the expenses for the transportation of luggage ( e.g. clothes and books ) less than 25 kg . Other expenses are to be covered by the students themselves.

The self-financing students are responsible for all these expenses for transferring to the relevant cities to continue their studies.

• The accepting university will pay the transferring scholarship students the allowance for the month of September.
